Robotic Press Brake Tending

The Optima Robotics Universal Robot Press Brake Tending Solution allows you to manufacture batches of parts through your press brake without needing a dedicated operator. You have the flexibility to mount the Universal Robot on either a fixed or mobile stand, allowing for manual operation of the press brake when programming isn’t cost-effective for low-volume parts, or to use the cobot for other tasks when the press brake isn’t in use. This solution occupies less space in your factory compared to traditional industrial robot setups. An infeed station ensures accurate part picking, while a digital interface gives the cobot control over the press brake’s operations. To enhance part handling, Olympus has developed the Scorpion gripper, along with a software plug-in for easy gripper control.

The Universal Robot has the flexibility to be installed on either a stationary or mobile stand. This enables the manual operation of the press brake when programming isn’t advantageous for low-volume parts, or allows the use of the cobot for alternative processes when the press brake isn’t in use.
