Robotic Screw Driving
The Optima Robotics screwdriving setup includes a screwdriver, a screw feeder, and a screwdriver controller, making it adaptable for diverse industries such as telecommunications, electronics, automotive, plastic parts manufacturing, woodworking, and furniture production.
Programming new screw jobs is simplified with a user-friendly graphical interface, negating the need for any prior robotics or programming expertise. You can set screwing speeds for the start, middle, and end phases of the operation. The servo mechanism enables detailed programming of both screw speeds and torque, with adjustable force applied during screwing.
Screws can be tightened based either on torque or the depth at which they are fixed. A built-in safety feature in the screwdriver’s tool tip assembly allows for safe human-robot interaction. This safety sensor detects any obstruction in the path of the working screwdriver, pausing the robot temporarily.
